A musical fable of Broadway and New York City in the middle of the 20th century.
Nathan Detroit and his team of no-good hustlers use every trick in the book to beat the authorities and set up the biggest craps game in town, while Adelaide (Nathan's long-time girlfriend and nightclub performer) laments their fourteen-year engagement. Missionary, Sarah Brown, objects to the gamblers' evil ways and wants only to save their souls, but she somehow attracts the interest of the biggest gambler of them all, the smooth-talking Sky Masterson.
Guys and Dolls may well be the perfect musical comedy. It is based on a story by Damon Runyon and features some of Broadway's biggest numbers, including Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat, Luck be a Lady and I’ve Never Been in Love Before. Nobody can fail to be uplifted by this feel-good show! Join the staff and alumni of law firm Allen & Overy as they bring this all-time classic to the Bloomsbury stage.
